Who I am
Tae Jong Park
Sound Designer | Technical Director | Founder of Live Park NY
Tae Jong Park works at the intersection of theatrical sound design, performance technology, and live production engineering. His work combines technical precision with a strong artistic sensibility, shaping sound environments that support storytelling while meeting the complex demands of contemporary performance systems.
Trained in Professional Music at the Berklee College of Music, Park approaches sound design through both musical intuition and acoustic engineering. He integrates spatial audio design, system architecture, and narrative sensitivity to create immersive environments for theater productions, cultural programs, and live events.
Park currently serves as Technical Director at the Korean Cultural Center New York and Resident Sound Designer at the Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center. He has also collaborated with CultureHub and Dimo Kim Musical Factory, contributing to productions that explore both traditional theater and technology-driven performance formats.
In parallel with his creative work, Park leads system design and production technology projects through Live Park NY, focusing on theater sound systems, AV integration, and immersive media environments.
Across projects throughout the United States, as well as South Korea, Japan, and China, Park has developed a practice that connects artistic direction with technical execution. His work centers on designing performance environments where sound, technology, and space operate as a unified expressive system.
